Hikari Izumi

Hikari grew up in a rather wealthy family. Her parents always had dinner parties and Hikari was always asked to dress up and attend them. Hikari, on the other hand, hated going to her mother's parties and hated how her parents treated her. Her parents were overprotective of her, since she was their only heiress, and they never let her practice her magic. Then one day, when Hikari was seven, an attack came upon her family and she was ushered out of her home, taking with her only a small bag filled with money and some bread. Hikari was taken to the forest and that was where she got separated from her guard. She wandered for days in the forest, having never been there before, she was scared and thought she would die. Hikari had stumbled into a cave and that was when she met Igneel. She told the Fire Dragon everything that happened and he decided to take her in as his own. He taught her Fire Dragon Slayer Magic and she was able to use it on command when she was twelve. Igneel then sent her to the nearest town, other than her home town, of Magnolia to get some bread. When she came back Igneel was gone. She searched every where for the Dragon but could not find him. Instead, she found an egg. The egged hatched when Hikari was thirteen and a half. Inside the egg was a small, black wolf pup with wings. She named him Kuroi Tenshi, though she only calls him Kuroi and never adding the 'Tenshi' part of his name.
Hikari is now sixteen and still searching for her 'family', Igneel(she believes her 'real' family was killed or taken). She took up residence in Magnolia, hoping maybe something with Igneel would come up. So far, nothing has come up.

Courtney stood in the middle of the forest path near the park. It was almost midnight. The perfect time for some uninterrupted training, or so she thought. The night was still, the only sound was metal scrapping against metal as she unsheathed her blade. Her Kurai Tenshi. It was a black hilt-ed and black bladed sword. It had the emblem of a black wing etched onto both of its sides, on its hilt. Her favorite weapon of choice. Though...there was always her second favorite, the bazooka. A heavy yet very powerful and destructive weapon.

She was adorning a black tube-top, black cargo pants, and black combat boots, her usual training clothes. She liked wearing loose clothing, except for shoes, to train because it gave her more room to move, in her opinion at least.

Hikari, Sakura, and Natsuki all sat on tree branches a little ways in front of Courtney, they didn't want to be in close range in case she hit them but they didn't want to be too far away. It was a reasonable decision for them to make.

Courtney, with her sword unsheathed, looked at the targets she placed upon three different trees. They were her training targets. She usually used them for hand and leg combat only, but now that she was able to obtain her Kurai Tenshi, she would be using those targets for both hand and leg combat and sword combat. Back to the topic, Courtney eyed the targets. She was trying to decide if she should start with a hard one and then go to easy or if she should start out easy and go to hard. She knew she still had to get used to her blade before she could really master it, and before she could use its full potential.

"Watch me, okay? Make sure I don't make a mistake. If I do, yell at me right then. I want to master this baby today..er really tonight." Courtney said, facing her charas as she did so. She was far beyond determined to master her blade in one training session. She didn't want it to take any longer than it had to. She also just wanted to be able to use her blade perfectly, without messing up. Especially since she was going to be facing Kokushibyou any day now. They had been showing up quite a lot actually, and it scared her. She wasn't even close to being ready to face them. Courtney may act tough and everything, but she isn't. She is only able to put on a facade and act as though she was this dark, evil person. In way, she could be that person. But she couldn't try to be them. Only when the memories of her past surfaced did she become truly evil and dark and sinister. Because she loathed her past, the past which was haunting her every time she closed her eyes.
