A lone figure stood in the dark of night, lighted only by the glimpses of the full moon that came from behind the clouds. The figure, however, was not alone. Standing beside them on four legs was a midnight black lupine, or wolf, exceed. Their pure white wings were out, as they could not retract them. The night was cool and a slight breeze seemed to be blowing. It was just perfect weather to train in.
The figure took a long, deep breath of air and sprinted forward. As the figure came closer and closer to the dock of the port, since the Dojo was on a cliff over-looking the port, a small ball of fire was released from their mouth. D*mn it! Again it was only a small freaking fire! C'mon! I know I can create a huge ball of fire! I did it before when I practiced with Igneel! The figure, a girl with blonde hair and light, blue eyes, thought to herself. She was trying to master one of her magic spells, or attacks. It was the Fire Dragon's Roar. With this attack, she could breathe out a large ball, or really a breath, of fire. But for some reason unknown to herself, she could only create small breaths of fire.
The lupine, or wolf, exceed stood there, watching as his friend argued with herself. He bet she was also cursing herself. The exceed, Kuroi, could, very well actually, understand humans and the human language, he could also talk it, like most exceeds can. He just doesn't really talk, never feeling like he needs to. The only time he will talk when he knows he doesn't need to is when he is alone with Hikari, because he completely trusts her. He will trust no one else. Not unless they do something that makes him trust them, and that is a hard thing to do.
Hikari sighed and closed her eyes, trying to focus so she could master that dang spell. She took a couple of long, deep breaths to calm herself. You can do this, you can do this, you can do this... She kept chanting over and over in her head, pumping herself up. Hikari's eyes popped open and a look of determination crossed over her face. She took a very long breath and ran, not sprinted, forward. This time she released the fire later, waiting to build up even more momentum and power. She was ever so determined to get this right.
A large breath of fire flew forward, going some feet away before falling into the ocean. That was why she was practicing by the ocean, so that the fire would go into the water and not cause a wild fire. Because creating a wild fire would be disastrous.
"Yes!" Hikari cheered, a smile covering her visage as she jumped up and down a little. She was excited, and eccentric, to have gotten a large fire breath instead of a small one. Okay so I just need to gain more moment, or speed, and way more power. That is the key...er keys to mastering and completing this spell. Or would it be an attack or move, since I have to physically attack...? Oh well, whatever. She thought, practically skipping over to Kuroi. "Did you see that?! I finally did it again! Igneel would be so proud!" Kuroi grinned, though it didn't really look like a gin since he was a wolf and wolves don't really grin, and spoke proudly, his voice deep yet smooth, "Why yes, he would be. When we find him, you have to show him it."
Hikari nodded her head in agreement. “Yes! I will definitely have to show him!” She said enthusiastically, thrusting her fist into the air. Hikari could only believe that someday, hopefully soon, she would meet up with Igneel again. He was after all her only family, besides Kuroi. “Let’s keep practicing!” [i]I have to get it perfect, just for you Igneel![i] She felt ready and pumped up than ever before, all because of the thought of seeing her beloved ‘father’ again. Yes, she did indeed think of Igneel as her father, just like he treated her as family she also treated his as family. She also treated Kuroi like family; always worrying about him, making sure he was okay, protecting him, ect.
Again and again Hikari practiced the Fire Dragon’s Roar. And every time she could breathe out a large fire breath. It only took her twenty-four hours of continuous training to perfect a move she had faintly trained before with her sensei, Igneel.

(Note: In this I said the Dojo over-looked the port because it was on a cliff. The Dojo is actually really big so it also goes into a forest type area. Just wanted to clear that up.)
