Mercutia examined the firearm in front of her. Lio probably wouldn't miss it. Probably. Well, she'd return it soon enough in any case. If she had studied the device thoroughly enough, it used a substance that ignited from a strike to cause a minor explosion, launching a piece of metal across a large space. Of course, she could always look it up to find out, but that was boring, wasted energy, and it was so much more fun to fire the thing and work on her aim. Lionel may wonder why there were holes filled with toothpaste and painted over later, but that would only happen if he focused on anything but training.
Now, if she could duplicate this right... She lay the gun on the ground- making a note to research the make and model later- and extended her right arm, index finger outstretched. she focused on releasing a burst of energy. A moment later there was a flash of yellow light and she was flying backwards. "Ow. Note to self, energy to information is a different ratio than information to energy. "Next try."
"Ready, aim, and-" a small, highly concentrated burst of yellow shot through the wall. "Woohoo! Though, maybe this time I should actually aim..." She guggled sheepishly.
She held her arm out once again, closing her right eye to aim down her arm towards the dummy on the far wall. She smiled. "Boom." She whispered as the power sped with new power through the wood. A large hole with cracks split through its chest.
Mercutia let a sleepy smile spread across her face as she felt the drain on her own energy. She slumped to the ground. "No, can't sleep... Need test... More variables...Movin' target... Mo' shots... Mnn this is a nice floor." With that she fell asleep in the dojo, gun laying eight feet away.
About thirty-eight minutes later, she woke up. "Gah, up! I'm up!" She squinted at the wall and whistled. The larger energy blast had taken out one of the dummy's heads, half of its torso, and a bit of the wall behind him. 'Okay, I definitely need to work on control.'
