Hikari was now pleased with the spells she could cast, or at least pleased for the moment, and decided to train up her energy, stamina, strength, and power. She also wanted to become more agile and swift. Hikari knew she was small enough that it wouldn't be too hard for her to do, she just had to put in the time and effort to do it. Now the strength part she knew was going to be hard because she wasn't that strong of a person. Nor was she that weak, she just wasn't as strong.
She was at the Dojo, getting ready to train yet again. It wasn't a spell this time though, it was power and strength. She knew she wasn't that strong or that weak, which was a good start. But she also knew that she needed to be stronger and more powerful if she wanted to make it in this world. People who were stronger than her would try to walk on top of her and rule her, which she would not stand for. She hated people ordering her around and telling her what to do, that is if they weren't people she deemed appropriate to be ordering people around and taking charge. Hikari stood in the almost empty room, aside from Kuroi and some practicing tools. It was a little before midnight and the moon was out. It was a crescent moon tonight.
Hikari faced the targets, or punching dummies, she had set up. She was first going to work on the hardest thing on the list, strength. She was also focusing on power. That was why she had set up the practice dummies. Hikari stepped forward, trying to figure out how she was going to do this. "Okay... I think I will just start punching the targets. Just to get a feel of everything." She said, mostly to herself. Kuroi nodded his head, agreeing with her idea. He was sitting a few feet away from Hikari, to give her enough room to practice and train and yet still be able to help her if she needed it. Though he doubted she would need his help. She usually didn't.
Hikari began rapidly punching the target, adding all the strength she could muster up into each and every punch. She wasn't sure how this would make her stronger but she was still going to try it. Hikari continued punching the target until her knuckles started to bleed. She decided to re-wrap her knuckles,, for when she started punching again, and faced the target again. She was going to start kicking the target now, to give her knuckles a rest since they were bleeding. Hikari started the kicking, switching between her feet to try and even out the power between them. Her right foot had more power and strength than her left foot because it is her dominate foot. The same thing going for her hands. She could punch harder with her right hand than her left hand.
She felt her feet begin to become swore and took a break, not wanting to break any bone in her feet. That would be bad if she did. Hikari got a towel and whipped away her sweat. She left the towel on the ground and got up, heading back over to the target. It was pretty beaten up but could still be used for a few more hits.
This isn't as easy as I though it would be. Maybe I'm doing it wrong but I don't know how to exactly do it. It's rather annoying. She thought, sighing quietly. She hadn't expected it to be easy but she hadn't expected it to be this hard either. She thought she could find a way that works and keep doing it until she got stronger and more powerful. But that seemed to not be happening at the moment.
Hikari left the target and went over to the weights. She decided to lift some weights to add to the strength gaining process. Though she knew it would be a while before she would see results she was still going to do it. Plus, she was also going to come back every day to train and lift weights and exercise. She thought that doing those exercises that built up muscles in your arms and legs, like squat thrusts or push-ups, would help her to become stronger. Hikari started to lift some weights, starting with a five pound weight. She didn't want t over do it because it might harm her muscles or she could even pull a muscle. And with the up coming tournament she couldn't afford to do that.
Hikari continued to press five pounds until she had done a thousand of them. Then she started doing a thousand sit-ups and crunches. She would switch off between doing sit-ups and crunches. By the time Hikari had finished them she was exhausted. She decided to call it a day, or really a night, and picked up her things and headed home. She would need all her rest to do everything she just did again the next night. She was determined more than ever to get stronger.
