Hikari was yet again at the Dojo. This time though, she was not there to train one of her Dragon Slayer spells but to train the transformation spell. She had read about it in one of the spell books she had come upon while at the library and thought it could be useful, even if it didn't cause any harm. This spell can change the appearance of the caster into any object or person. But it takes a lot of power to withhold it and use it, especially if the disguise is complicated.
Hikari looked at the notes she had jolted down. So focus my magic and try to transform into the thing I am thinking about.... That sounds kind of hard... She thought, sweat dropping. But it can't be that hard...right, since pretty much any mage can learn it? Hikari shook her head and breathed in. She was determined to get this right, no matter how many times it took her.
She closed her eyes and focused on the girl from the Hana Festival. She wanted to try transforming into something she had actually see in person. Hikari kept concentrating on the image of the girl from the festival. It was about five mintues later until she opened her eyes and looked over at her companion, Kuroi. He shook his head, signaling to her that she had not done the spell correctly.
"Gah!" Hikari muttered to herself. "How am I supposed to do this then? Do I focus my magic around me and try and chance my whole appearance?" She had thought of many different ways to go about learning this spell, and it seemed she would have to try one of them. So she decided to go with the one about focusing her magic all around her and trying to transform. "It's worth a shot..."
Hikari once again closed her eyes and focused. But this time she also focused her magic around her, though it couldn't be seen. She then pictured the girl from the festival. Her dirty blonde hair and green eyes, plus that trench coat she wore even though it wasn't that cold out. Hikari could feel a light emitting but just as quickly as it was there it was gone. She slowly opened her eyes and took a glance at Kuroi. His eyes were a little wider than usually and Hikari just had to ask, "...Did it work?"
Kuroi began nodding his head fervently. "Yes! Yes! You look like her! It needs to be touched up a bit but you got the jest of it!" He said encouragingly. Hikari smiled happily and thrusted a fist up into the air. She then remembered she was still using the transform spell and quickly thought of her own appearance again. She felt the light emit again before she was back to normal, she saw the trench coat and dirty blonde hair gone so she knew she was back to her normal appearance. "Yay! Now we just need to keep working on it and I will have it down!"
And that is what Hikari did the rest of the day, and for another day. She kept practicing the Transform spell until she got it almost perfect. One the third day she could do it quicker, though it would take even more time until she could do it just like that, and she could almost completely transform into the thing she was thinking of. She had even tried turning into an object, thought she admitted it felt weird being a chair. Hikari had also tried transforming into an animal. She was able to turn into a bird, though it felt different, and thought it wasn't that bad. It was definitely way better than a chair. That was for sure.
